cameo miniatures
« on: June 26, 2023, 04:59:51 PM »
Hi
Can anyone identify these please. Looks like they are signed Valtin nancy with the cross of lorraine but I can't find anything on the net so perhaps it reads something else.

Are they all signed in exactly the same way?

I'm sure I've seen some cameo somewhere with the scalloped cameo cut rim.
Is it possible to see close up of the acid etched? surface as it looks a little different on the right hand one.

I think it might have been this Riedel piece I was thinking of with the scalloped edge actually (it's around the bottom) so probably not helpful for you - it's dated 1925-30 :
hope this link to the collection works
