Red crystal glasses
« on: July 04, 2023, 01:24:43 PM »
Hi,
I have been given some red crystal glasses, and when I do a picture search in google it comes up with Ajka crystal brandy glasses. Only the ones i was given have slightly different features such as star shapes on base and there are no identifying markings or name on them.
I've attached some pics, can anyone give a positive ID on them?
Thanks.

Ajka üveggyar in Ajka, Hungary are the only company still making cut-to-clear on ruby flashed glass. The do this in commission for many other works. The possibility they originated in Ajka is therefore high. But if they are older, don't exclude Egermann.
