Topic: Glass mark 6. or G. ?

Hello,

I have a beautiful little decanter highly hand painted and fine gilt decoration.  It has a mark shaped like a 6. (and the full stop) to the base.

I was wondering if Harrach ?

Just wondering if anybody had any ideas who it could be attributed to?

We can't help you without several pictures if the whole thing and dimensions. Simple numbers yours are decorator's marks: they were on piece work, so no mark, no pay

Looks nicer than Harrach to me. Perhaps Lobmeyer. Might even be French. Really we need a picture of the whole jug, the whole glass and the two together too to see shapes and how things are put together. Dimensions too please. It is also good to take pictures against a plain uncluttered background so we can see better. The more information, visual and written, you give the more help you will get. You can reply to yourself to add more pictures

The glasses are hand painted to the outside with green leaves and the center of the flower is painted inside the glass.

Here are the dimentions. 

Decanter;
Height:      9⅞” (25.8cm)
Base Diameter:   2¾ (7 cm)
Weight:      282g

Glasses;
Height:      4⅛” (10.5cm)
Rim Diameter:   1½” (4cm)
Base Diameter:   1¾ (4.5cm)
Weight:      33g

I can't really help you any further but the dimensions are useful because I thought wine jug and glasses, but clearly not. I would still look at Lobmeyer and throw Meyr's Neffe and Poschinger into the mix. I don't think they are Moser

Because I have the Neuwelt book and that squared ish shape jug handle always makes me think Harrach first for some reason, I had a quick look through. There are probably a hundred goblets and wine glasses in there which are pretty amazing.
There is nothing exactly the same as yours, however on page 351 plate 437 there is a champagne glass with similar knop at the foot of the stem with the gilding around the knop and around the edge of the foot.  The foot is slightly raised in the middle (trumpet almost) though, so not flat like yours.
I'm not sure if either of those design ideas would be indicators of solely Harrach though. Perhaps not.

Did Harrach make for Lobmeyr Christine? Wondering if perhaps it might have been made to a Lobmeyr design if so.
The other thought might be Theresienthal to add to the list do you think?
