Sklo Borske Glass Lampshade
« on: February 28, 2009, 04:26:33 PM »
Bought a huge optic bowl in Amber today, wasn't 100% sure about it when I bought it as I had never seen anything out of the range before (in real life). Then I realised a light fitting I took down some time ago because it was in danger of being smashed is also most probably out of this range too. Would appreciate any comments as I have never seen any mention anywhere of lampshades. Thanks, Sue

I would think it's very likely, what's a lampshade but an upside down bowl with an extra hole. I've seen the sort of shade you are talking about and mentally noted the similarities to the bowls (in this case my mother has had one for the last 30-40 years)

Thanks for the reply Christine. I am glad I took it down now as it would only have ended up broken (mad teenager with guitar who has already smashed a lovely 60s white cased globe light shade) Not his fault really as 2 mitigating factors, 1. he is too tall and 2. the light hangs down too low LOL.
