Ebay - is this a Riihimaki Lustre bark vase?
« on: July 04, 2009, 09:56:57 AM »
Hi all,

Just doing a regular search on ebay for glass and noticed this one.  Piqued my interest as I have handled a very similar one in a light green, and was unsure as to its authenticity due to the lustre/irridescent finish.  As the listing is ending in 3 hours, I decided not to trouble the sellar with a photo of the base.... or any further questions, as I won't be bidding, just watching.

item no 230352228657 if the above long winded link fails to work

So has anyone any info on this vase please?

Am currently ploughing through my books. .......

Thanks all, M & S

I won't be bidding, just watching.

That seems a very wise decision. I doubt if you'll find it in any book - the attribution is shaky at least. I'd sooner suspect Oberglas Austria. And anyway - cranberry? Lustre? Art Glass? I don't think so!
