Tiny textured dish, Help with use and maker:-)

This dish is less than 3 inches diameter, would it have been used for salt? And would anyone know maker or country or age

I have one that looks exactly the same, but in another color (amber).  I bought it last week on a flea market. 

Very pretty, but I have no idea who made it   :huh:


Does anyone have an idea ?
