Not a colour I had associated with FT - until I looked in the book, more carefully! Shown for comparison with a standard 'Kingfisher' - both are 5.3/4" tall, and they both have a base 'as from the mould' (unlike the much taller examples). Apparently, this cobalt/Bristol - type blue was produced for two years only - but which two years I don't know - can someone advise please.

May be of interest to comment that whilst they seem very similar, the outside dia. of the top of the Kingfisher is 73mm, but the Dartington Blue is 65mm only - plus the fact that the dark blue example has a definite ground and polished top rim which as you can see is much thicker than the Kingfisher piece which seems to have a fire polished rim only (I think). Eve Thrower and Mark Hill's book does comment on the dissimilar thickness, but they don't include the FT 58 as one of the pieces produced in Dartington Blue. Do I have the only one!!

All comments gratefully received, and as always thanks for looking.
