Topic: Red Vase - ID = Erwin Eisch

I acquired this 6 inch tall red vase which is matt on the outside and glossy on the inside. I have been unable to find / decipher the artist name which is etched on the bottom . There is a puntee mark on the base which is still rough to the touch
 I presume the 76 after the name is the year made. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I contacted Eisch.de and received back some good information re the RED VASE and Erwin Eisch from Regina kennedy@Eisch.de. Regina confirmed it was signed by the artist Erwin Eisch she also said that the red colour was very unique and that he  was a founder of the studio glass movement. In 1960 he formed the art group Radama with Max Strack and Gretel Stadler whom he married in 1962. The list of his achievments and also where he worked is second to none. Born 1927 in Fraunau Germany and still with us today at the age of 83.
He is still active and involved with painting and exhibitions all over the world. he is also still active as a teacher in the summer academy BILDWERK in Frauenau Germany

Just a short note on the different signatures. If the piece is signed ´E. Eisch´, it has been made by
Erwin Eisch himself. The signature ´Eisch´ is used on factory pieces. Don´t want to appear as a
plagiarist, but can´t remember, where I´ve read that...  :pb:
In case of doubt, should have been Haanstra or Ricke, I suppose.

The piece looks definitely Eisch to me. Sometimes the decor is referred to as `peacock´, but I´m not
sure this is an official name. Mainly comes in blueish and this reddish colour combination.
Not every Eisch piece is signed, so this one´s possibly a fake signature on a genuine piece. Or the
person, who does the signatures had a very bad day (or possibly his/her first).

Thank you, Dirk!  But I just don't understand the logic of going through the bother of faking a signature, but not bothering to check how the name should be spelt.  :huh:  Strange...  (I like the bad/first day scenario better    Thank you again.
