I want a orrory made of Josh Simpson planets...... :sm:
and an Alister Malcolm "Platinum" vase engraved by Sue Burke with dragons to compliment the shapes of the fabulous inclusions..... :sm: :sm:
and a big viking boat chandelier, like the ones in the Murano hotel in Tacoma.... :sm: :sm: :sm:
But the Alison Kinnaird hurricane lamp in my local antique centre woud do. It's a very good price for her work, and it's fabby - it looks all pretty-pretty flowery, but there are skulls and snakes and fangs and copulating couples all hidden in it - and we can't even afford that.
As usual, I won't get anything..... nothing to do with not believeing in such superstitious/supernatural stuff.
Nothing wrong with having some sort of yuletide "something" to give a break in the middle of long, dark, cold winters.
(apart from the goodie bag my wee friend always gives us. She puts all sorts of useful things in it, such as a pad for writing shopping lists, with a pen and holder for it, and a magnet on the back, so it's always handy, stuck on the boiler, and some non-alcoholic chocolates for me... and liqueur chocolates for Michael.)
