I'm of the 'less is more' school of collection display, so I tend to have just a few items - in well-lit niches on bookcases and shelves - that are rotated as the mood takes me.

I, personally, always think it's a bit of a shame when you can't really see... or, consequently, appreciate... individual pieces of glass because there's a mass of other glass in front or behind of it.

So my glass on show tends to look like this:

Ah, the classiness is just smoke and mirrors - cheap home-made MDF shelving and Ikea spotlights.

Nic....I agree with you....I wish I was that disciplined!  When I had the teak cabinets made, I promised myself that I would only ever have a few pieces in at a time.....but....well....I was weak, and felt sorry for those that were left out in the cold    (NO comments here please Paul!!).

I am really enjoying seeing everyone's collections.....thank you so much for sharing them .....anybody got any glass animal displays to share? :hi:

After you manipulate the image in Picasa, save a copy with a different name. If you do that the image will stay how you manipulate it. Picasa is an arrogant enough program to think that the only place you will ever view images is with it, so it remembers what you have done to an image as long as you are using their program.....  Just go to "File" "Save as" and give it an appropriate name and location.
