Hello,
About two months ago, I picked up this pink hotworked vase at the antiques market for 40 PLN. Originally, I thought it was a Skrdlovice piece, but a highly knowledgable glass acquaintance told me it's not, and that he'd look towards ZBS.
A few days ago, I saw a very similar vase on ebay, but with a Moser label:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Vase-Royalit-Hussmann-Moser-Cechoslovakia-1950-60-/200450052688?pt=Glas_Kristall&hash=item2eabc11250 That got me thinking that perhaps my vase could also be Moser.
I wrote to Moser on Sunday, including pictures of my vase, and got a reply this morning:
... I have forwarded your pictures to the identification department and was informed that this glass piece was not produced by Moser glassworks. Your glass vase seems to be made in the glassworks in North Bohemia. Each glass piece is always signed by Moser brand mark. ... Obviously, I've got a very hard time telling pieces of glass apart -- I really thought my vase was almost identical to the one in the link.
I would appreciate confirmation that my vase is indeed ZBS, and not from another glassworks. The vase is 23cm high, and has got a flat triangular base with quite a bit of wear.
Thank you!
P.S. Is it true that Moser pieces are ALWAYS marked?
