« on: May 20, 2011, 11:30:18 AM »
Brown Glass Koala bear - piggy Bank with slot in back of head (see photos) - unusial piece just off 7" high - small hole in base but nothing ref obtaiming your money back - strange? - label to base 'Cascade Engand' which is not the maker i'm sure but the importer or even retailer - any clues on the label and the piece itself - origins, maker

Thanks Adam

As far as I know they manufactured and imported glass (they made Gulvases under licence from Holmegaard).

Presumably you break the piggy to get at your money, likely to discourage early withdrawals.....

Thanks John - I was actually told this was of Holmegaard origin ages ago - so your suggestions seem very interesting

Thanks Adam
