- regret to say, but most water jugs seem to go unattributed - most are of utility value only and unmarked, so difficult to say which factory. A few older and better known pieces are well documented, for example W/Fs, and a lot of the cut examples have backstamps which makes provenance easier.
I'm having trouble seeing the clear casing of which you speak, and it looks as though the base is ground/polished flat, although you don't comment - am I correct? If you've already said I apologise for foregetting, but where are you based? - and sorry you have a lack of good glass.
Bottom line is that unless someone can recognize this from a catalogue picture, you may be a long time waiting to know the maker.
However, it's a nice large and unusual piece, worth keeping certainly
