- as you've probably seen on the box most if not all of the south east has drought conditions and there is a hosepipe ban - but a deluge of rain should really take precedence over boot sales, no matter how much I'd probably moan. It's true, there are some major fairs south of Watford

, although possibly what makes more of a difference are the very large and munificent outdoor boot sales, which provide a good selection of antique bric-a-brac and house clearance material. Do visit us Sassenachs, and you can stay in my large shed, and we can visit some good boot sales....

On the other hand, I've enjoyed the beauty of Talisker Bay, climbed to the top of Schiehallion, and experienced the isolation of Rannock Moor......none of which can be done in Surrey, so no one gets all the goodies.
