 :o :o :o
It doesn't have a handle.... Thomas - it's not a claret jug!
But it is exceptionally beautiful - my favourite colours.  8)

I feel I need my shades on to look at this one Thomas - it's dazzling :)      It's the 'inexpensive' bit that I really like. ;)
Sorry, way out of my league, but just a vague thought...............quality pieces often have  'matching Nos. scratched on the stopper and on the body - they're found commonly on decanters, as you will know.           If this had Nos., the style of script would probably indicate whether Continental, or British - possibly.           Of course, if you don't have any Nos. then no go.

Isn't it a Stevens and Williams decanter though Paul? as per the heading  ;)
It's just a matter of who engraved it  :)

hi dear glass experts . there is a scratched number .. i think its a 1 on the base and a one at the stopper .. i have a similar hock glass different colours - they sell for quite a lot at fieldings auctioneers.. actually i have never seen a decanter of that size in these colours ...but its definitely not my cup of tea .. because i need some money for my claret jugs - so i think it will be the best to sell it .. !
tomorrow i am going to england for one week .. really looking forward .. goinf to an auction in salibury on tuesday .. there are 2 nice claret jugs which would be a nice addition .. so its all about in and out with the stuff :-) .. thx for your comments !!! p.s if possible i would like to have some sunshine next week :-) ;D
