I bought this vase because I was intrigued by the color and shape.  I can't remember coming across a red that was so deep like an "oxblood" or "pigeon's blood".  The shape of the vase and craftsmanship is simply flawless.  It looks perfect.  I'm not sure where it might  have been produced.  My original thought was that it's Italian.  The rim of the vase is odd too.  It has an applied line of opaque red glass around the edge and I think the rim has been polished too.  There seems to be a lot going on for this to be something store bought or Chinese.  Perhaps someone has seen this color of glass before.  It measures 10" inches tall.

Can anyone else confirm that these links are not working properly?  Or is it only for certain people?  Thank you.

Image Shack causes my security software to flash a virus warning, so I don't go there now.

No problem seeing them and I'm in the uk. I believe the glass is quite recent polish or russian.

What are the tell tale signs that this is a recent Polish or Russian piece?
