Hi there  ;D

This HAS to be Chinese IMHO here.  Does still retain the Red Foil label that is in a Crown Shape.  It is about 12 inches tall.  Had this for like 2 years here and only getting to posting it now as I go through some old photos here.  Bought for like .50 cents so it did not matter....but like to find ones (any type) that HAVE the labels on them.

Chinese Right?
If it is Chinese...it am assuming it must be older ?? Chinese.....due to fact the label is make of foil ( ?? )

.....and I guess we could keep the label in the gallery too of labels -- Just in case.  A label is a label  ;D

I don't think it is Chinese. Here are other examples with the label...

It is mentioned it is possible Bohemian/German...but that is yet to be confirmed.

Thanks for the links.  :-*..Got nothing in the first link -- Doesn't work.

I am kinda shocked that this is not CHINESE......Really, German or Bohemian??  Fooled me big time.  I was so sure this was Chinese.   I need my Eyes 8) checked.

Maybe the title can be modified to get some German/Bohemian Glass people here as I am totally fooled by this and my title says Chinese in it.....

Fooled once again!!  :-\

Whatever it is,  it is NOT Bohemian! Bohemia ceased to exist in 1918. I wouldn't rule out Japan

Am not sure why the first link is not working for you antiquerose, as it is working for me.

Try this:

http://www.lulushop.co.za/

Just scrowl down a bit and it is the deep purple bowl.

Japanese is a good possibility! That bohemian link was something that was typed in the second link.

Mystery Solved I think -- Finally

Now the Crown Label I am not sure if an Import label, but here is an Art Glass Bowl with similar colors as my Vase here -- PLUS it has the crown Label too ..............PLUS another label made in China under the name of 'Daysun'

See the Ebay ** LINK HERE **

( QUOTED FROM THAT ABOVE LINK ):
""A very pretty Murano  style glass bowl that was produced in China under the maker's name 'Daysun'. The bowl was made by hand/hand blown and is predominantly red with multi-coloured swirls internally. The top rim has indented edges folded over in order to produce a decorative rim.""

Looks good to me. Those colours certainly look Chinese IMO. They seemed to have quite a limited palette in the 60s/70s/80s

An older post by Pip has something similar and also has the "Crown" labels and another saying "Daysun Foreign" Vase Red w/ white swirls, 2 old paper stickers to base - ID? This is still in the Glass forum but has been suggested as Chinese. Sadly, Pip's photos were on Photobucket which does not behave well for me!

And that message of Pip's is referred to from another: Daysun" labeled vase. Who may have made it - which does not show a pic of the "very worn" label.

There is still a problem in that even now a search for "daysun" does does not provide much useful information for glassware like these vases. And I have not found another example of the label, so even though these may be Chinese I am a still wary of giving this a "Chinese - Daysun" ID.

yeah, your right kevin.  Id may not be know.  Maybe Daysun is Chinese label, but the other could be a import label or whatever.

As I have this piece too with the RED CROWN label on it, and the bottom is not what you expect from a chinese piece.  So Yes the mystery remains.
