Woops, John - shows how long it's been since we talked!
This piece is bothering me. I'm sure Mdina did use a combinationof orange white and black splodges together- but I'm pretty sure there were more than just the three colours present.
But the construction of the piece - this thin glass and the "dented" base rules anything Maltese out.
I know one of the very badly dremmelled and wrongly spelled "Michael Harris" signatures was on a square shaped bottle with orange white and black splodges - this was several years ago and in the "chrism days".

I am starting to wonder about Gibralta glass for this piece? I don't know much about them at all, just that a fabby bit of Mdina I bought once was listed as being Gibralta, and there's a small splodgy bit in a local charity shop - I should be able to get a peek at it's construction on Monday. It's not frilly, it's smaller than this and it's green and blue splodges.
