does the crazy looking vase have a firepolished rim or a cut and polished flat rim though?

If it has a cut and polished rim I'm admittedly surprised.  If it doesn't I'm not as that base is very similar to some I've seen on cased pink thorn type vases I think (they are particularly hideous and remind me of Blacmange  ;D) that I've seen id'd as Stevens and williams.

It's fire polished not cut and admittedly it's not the prettiest vase i own, the guy that made it must have been on something for sure.
