I am absolutely delighted with this vase.  It arrived this morning and doesn't want to be photographed well unfortunately.  It displays to the eye as  a really intense bright  turquoise blue with limey green bubbles but my camera wont capture this effect unfortunately.  I'll try and get some better pictures later. You should be able to see the intensity of the blue  in the close up pic of the foot though. It's fantastic.
I think it's Nazeing. Rough pontil mark on base.
Will have to get my Nazeing pieces out on the shelf now.  I'm so pleased with this one.

Quite large at 6" tall by 6 1/4" wide at the rim.

:) Is that the one off ebay? Great price - I was going to bid on it - thought it was Nazeing too (would have gone nicely with my other Nazeing bits) - but forgot about it!
Lovely!

Roberta

This is my bargain ebay find -( am I allowed to post pics in other peoples threads?? I am new so please forgive me if it's not the done thing) - it's only 10cm high - looks like a jug but without a spout!

Of course you can post pics in other folk's threads especially if they are relevant, like that one!
It's rather an unusual beast - and it has a label.  ;D

Welcome to the gmb  :)

I like your colour combination, m. A slightly superior bit, I think!

Thanks Sue :) I think so too  8)
I've only found one other blue and green.  I'm so so pleased with it.  I don't have a true turquoise vase so this is it.
I hadn't expected to like it that much but it was a bargain so went with it.  The pic wasn't good because the camera just doesn't recognise the blue and only reads the enamels, which fortunately look lime green to the eye ... because they are that distemper green in reality  ;D
I did have a beautiful turquoise/lime green vase, Mdina, which I used for all my turquoise necessary displays, but I broke it a couple of weeks ago.  I was quite upset about that one.  It's the first Mdina I'd bought and the chlorides made it look lime green and turquoise  :'(

Orange, yes do post, you are welcome.  But if you need an id then you will need to post it on it's own thread please.
thanks

What sort of bit did you break? I might be able to replace it. :)

It was this one Sue.

I loved this piece because there was so much silver chloride in it that it looked lime green under my lights.

I'll have a look around and see if there's a wee something with those effects you can have.  :-*

But it was an unusual beast with all that going on in it!

oh thanks Sue - I will email you.
I have seen one other, that size and with all that going on, didn't buy it because I 'had one'.  I regretted that because the chlorides do such wonderful things to this colour.

I've added two more pics, but neither show how intense the turquoise looks to me.  My camera just reads the enamels not the transparent background glass.

Roberta do you think your piece might be a candle holder?

Oh it could be!  ;D It looks about the right size to hold a candle - no-one has thought of that - well done! Just thought it was some weird display vase. The label is in great condition for it's age.

thanks!

Roberta

P.S. I have  a couple of ID requests going if anyone could look - much appreciated.
