I have 6 of these, I always thought they were to serve honey, but was told they are not??
they are 4 1/2" long, the end that is more "cut crystal" has a blunt end like it was ground down.  It looks like there is a seam down the center.  Sitting on there side they tend to roll - can't be knife rest, yet they dont stand on either end on there own.  The ridged part looks darker/discolored like they were baked in something??

Things I thought of but can't find anything the same on google images :

I believe they are indeed "dippers". When I was alot younger in the mid to late 1950s I spent my summers on a large farm in Iowa owned by my aunt & uncles & on the table there were always two bowls, one had honey & the other had molasses.  Bisquits were always on the table at breakfast & dinner (which actually was around noon to 12:30) & all the "hands" would go through about 20 bisquits & would put either honey or molasses on them using dippers very much like yours & I know my aunt had a large supply of them because they might get chipped & were thrown away & replaced.

these may also have been the pestles for mortar and pestles. The textured end was where you gripped them and the other end was used for grinding.

I also think these are "dippers" - the ridges are to increase the surface area and so that things will stick - if it was a pestle I don't think it would have the ridges - but that's just my opinion

THANK you all, especially "Ohio" that has seen/used them before- not much better proof than that.

They came to me from an elderly aunt without an explanation.  Was confused why there would be 6, maybe from a restaurant/dinner or a big farm that kept them on the tables?

With the help those that responded I did find another exactly the same that was sold (for $36 for 1) listed as
depression glass honey dipper.
