Hello!
My name is Flex and I have enjoyed collecting vintage Carnival Glass for many years. My father had a few pieces when I was young, and some family members began collecting reproduction/recent pieces in the 1990's, which got me started on my own purchases of vintage CG.
Along the way I have picked up many other genres of glassware, including EAPG, Depression, and cut glass.
The photos are of a recent purchase that I have been unable to ID for either pattern/shape or manufacturer. It really does not have the feel or appearance of a quality cut-glass piece, but has no evident mold-lines. ‘Rings’ like cheap crystal. It appears to either be a single piece of glass with solid stem and hollow foot, or perhaps the bowl was joined to the stem during manufacturing. It weighs a fairly hefty 1 pound. The thickness of the lip of the bowl is approx. 3/8” and it sits nearly 8” high with a 3 3/8” mouth opening and about a 3” foot. Does not appear very old, reminds me of the cheap mid-century stuff from Anchor Hocking. It has varying 12-point ‘stars’ and star clusters, with the top and bottom matching, separated by a central line.
Cannot find anything like it in my hours of online searching, tho.
Found at a yard sale with a great deal of glassware for sale, everything from Anchor Hocking to French-made crystal.
Is it a stemmed rose bowl, stemmed votive or hurricane lamp, or other?
Manufacturer? General mfg date?
Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated, thanks!
