I have this vase...
« on: September 18, 2015, 10:23:44 PM »
Hey everyone,
I am doing a research project for material culture class and I have this vase I am working with. I was given very little to go off of and it is my task to identify the object and its history. Any information regarding its origins and intended purpose/ usage would be greatly appreciated.
I have attached a few images.

Hi and welcome to the board!

Your vase was made in Czechoslovakia (Bohemia) in the inter war period, 1920s/30s.
These pieces are usually called "spatter glass", you will find a huge amount of information when you search for this term :)

For some of these you can even identify the glassworks via shape or decor match...

Michael
