 :)
It's a completely different colour in thes new pics, and doesn't look as if it contains any uranium at all.
It was the pale yellow colour that made me think that.

Earth without art is just eh.

Here I am again.

I wish I had read the comments earlier...
Just bought me a UV-torch, and guess what;
No uranium.

I made some new pictures, but holding it in front of a white background
didn't really work. This is the best I can do.

Height:      43 cm.
Weight:     ?? My scale is not working.

The foot applied to the base...
The foot might be applied to the base,
but it seems to be one piece.

From the top, I can see straight to the bottom.
And I believe it's the bottom of the foot.
Not the bottom of the base.

(Correct me if I misunderstood you)

Thanks!!

There is a faint similarity in some design elements with a set by Adolfhutte bei Winterberg shown in Das Bohmische Glass Band III page 51:
a) the little black inked diamond on the front below the rondel surrounding the cameo.
b) the use of half a circle of beads with an enamelled design completing the other half of the circle.
However the shape of the items (carafe and goblets) is quite different.

That set is dated c.1860.

There is also, to my eye, some similarity in design shape between a pair of vases on page 165 which are attributed as probably Regenhutte c. 1867-1870.

The draped/swagged gilded dot type loops or chains can be seen with some similarity on:

a) a set dated 1860-1865 attributed Nordbohmen, pp 151 and also on
b) pp57 two vases from Neuwelt dated 1865-1870
c) a vase from Schachtenbach also with a cut rim, dated c.1865

Josephinenhutte is another possibility I think.

I could find no other pieces that to my eye looked similar, but I have limited books.
The Passau museum I think has a large collection of this type of glass.  You will need to search museum collections to try and find something with more of a match on design.
I think it probably dates later in the 1860s.

Thank you very much for your effort!

I must say, I am buying arts&antiques for like 4 months now,
completely without any knowledge or experience at all + very low budget.

I have bought acouple of antique books and art history books,
but haven't really read them yet.

The book you talk about, (the series) costs a couple of hundred dollars on amazon.

Is it possible for you to make a picture of the ones you mention ??
That would help me very much. (I know I ask a lot !!)

I just mailed the Passau Musseum.
Hoping they can tell me more about it.

Thanks for your help again!!

M, are there any links to info (maker / period) about those images from the Passau museum?

I have been watching this thread as I have a couple of items of similar appearance that currently sit in my generic "Bohemian or French" category.

No sadly not Kev.
There are the examples I've quoted from Das Bohmische Glas Band II above (that was written in the 1990s)
All the information I have is in German and my German is absolutely terrible, so it's painstaking translation via google translate and typing it all up if I'm not sure I've read it correctly.

The rest is down to searching the net using German or Czech search words.  Using the language of origin of the pieces does throw up more information usually.  I don't have any of these pieces so I'm not that interested but I do know the and know where I've found the information on them.  Other than that, searching in language of origin.

I've found a link:

-The enamel-work is almost exactly the same.
-The black lines also. (is that enamel too? )
-And the 'flowers' are the same too.

Of course I don't know if the describtion is right:

- France
- 19th Century
- Charles X.

Also, the gold enamel is said to be:   24 carat gold.
Wonder if mines is too, and how to check it.

!! Don't know if the seller's description is right though !!

Yes I've seen this article, but (at least for my vase)
the Catawiki-Link, is by far the best match I've found yet.

Only thing is....

That one's supposed to be french.

Still, the schachtenbach/bohemian also matches a little.
In terms of glas, and gold enamel.

Could this really be 24 carat gold?
And where to find out?  Juwelery store?  ::)
