You're welcome.
I'm sure there is some description somewhere of the gilding they used but it's an absolute pain for me to go and try and look it up and translate it I'm afraid.

It is possible it is a raised enamel and then the gilding applied on top of that I think.

The books are expensive - mine have cost probably into the thousands now  ::)  but I love them, love reading them and they often have some extremely interesting information in them not available elsewhere.
In the end, they save me buying pieces that are not worth the money to be honest, and any glass I have sold has paid for them, so a win win situation :)

I'm glad it works for you. It's ofcourse an investment,
and with all investments you first need the money to do so.

That's why, now I try to gain as much information (and thereby experience)
from open-sources, and 2nd hand books and online articles.

Most of the time, when I see something that has my interest, I try to find out more about it.

Now I don't know nothing, literally nothing about antiques.
I haven't sold anything yet. And unfortunately bought a lot of garbage.

That's why I just book a couple books about The History of Art, just the overall knowledge.
And build on that. See how far we come :)
