Vase signed J. Marcolin - Dartington Glass connection???
« on: May 18, 2019, 04:47:08 PM »
Just acquired this lovely, heavy vase which is signed J. Marcolin followed by presumably a pattern number -  39-20-12-98.  If the last two numbers represent the year, then could this suggest that the vase was made in collaboration with Dartington Crystal?  I found this article http://archive.glassonline.com/site/site/news/topic/Sector-trends/id/4425/Dartington-Crystal-calls-on-glassblowing-expert which states that Josef Marcolin spent some time from 1998 creating a new range of lead crystal glassware for Dartington Crystal at their Barbican Glassworks in Plymouth, which was launched at the International Gift Fair at the Birmingham NEC in 1998.

Any ideas please?

I know INCA/ Ingela can tell you about this.
We have a long FM Ronneby thread in Sweden with all history about this.
Ingela has very good knowledge and can tell, hope she finds this.
Regards
Jonas
