Topic: Can anyone ID this "hammered" ruby red glass vase?

Hi all.  Does anyone recognize this ruby-red glass vase?  It has a surface texture I'd call "hammered".  My mom needs some red glass for her windowsill and it's the only thing I've seen so far I liked.  Thanks!

It's 18½" tall (about 47cm), and I'll try to get a picture of the base...

I think the texture is called Battuto.
It is an old technique, and can be found in quality Murano pieces, but it is also currently being made. I've seen a fair bit from both Germany and India in TKMaxx. (Varying quality.)

Battuto -- yes, that's the look.  I found this on eBay UK; it's claimed to be Murano:

The lip is distinctive, no?

I'm trying to find out if the ruby one has any markings.  The UK one (above) includes a picture of the base, which is unmarked.

That doesn't look particularly batutto. 
It should all fit together, very neatly.
The colour, however, is very like the contemporary German batutto I've seen. A smoky greeny brown. The maker was Eichendorf. (labels on wares in TKMaxx).

The lip is distinctively squint.

Yes the amber one is only a bit hammered at the top, so not battuto-all-over...

TKMaxx does sell a lot of vases, and battuto is pretty labor-intensive so I could see it being made in India where labor is cheap....

Wish I could see the thing in person.

I've had a search for Eichendorff, and got nothing.
They were very plain shapes. Tall, straight sided bottles - a bit like a gulvase with a shorter neck. They may have had unbatutto-ed top parts.
Nothing organic-looking.

The Indian vases were brighter colours and more unusual shapes.
It is a few years since I have been there. This is going back a bit, to a time when they often had really good bits of glass hiding around.

The owner just provided a pic of the base, with sticker, which sticker has a definite TKMaxx look to, not Italian...
