taking these at face value Roy, my opinion might be that the body is Indian Club and date wise c. 1790 - 1800, or perhaps a tad later - this was a body shape that started c. 1765, but seems to have ticked on for quite some time. Unsure about the stopper - it's obviously heading in the direction of a spire, but it's a tad unconventional for a spire - bit thick around the middle - presumably a lot of wear on the stub - they appear very whiteish? The wide shallow pontil depression is suitably Georgian.
Of course, not having them in the hand does hamper a real examination, but the above are my thoughts based on these actually being what they appear to be. What sort of colour would you say - and what did you buy them as - and is there any damage to the relief diamonds?
