A little under 5 inches tall, polished pontil mark, a fine line of wear with a folded rim, Biot ?

I'm not an expert but all the pieces of Biot glass I've seen have got a rough circle pontil with a smooth centre from where they used a blow pipe as a pontil rod not a solid one. The glass looks a bit like mica glass or something similar or is just very small bubbles? I don't know who the maker might be.

:) I don't think Biot either. The bubbles are not lots of random sizes or stretched, and I've never seen something like a folded rim on Biot. And the polished base is wrong, as Nev says.
I think it's something a little bit superior to Biot.
It's that lovely amber with the rosy glow to it - not a Biot colour.

Can you find a maker experienced enough to make a folded rim, hire the facilities and materials to make it and provide the energy to run those facilities and then persuade the maker to make it, for £2?  ;D
Then you'd need the polishing equipment and somebody to polish the base too.

There is a similar vase on Worthpoint, mentioning but not fully attributing it to Erik Hogland Kosta Boda.  Might be a start point for further research though.

I thought it was fairly modern and a nightmare to identify if that helps at all.

I'll check Kosta, thanks.
I wondered about it Chris but there's been so little in the shops I decided to give it a home ! ;D ;D
