Sorry I'm not sure what you call it when they add the handle...I don't know all the proper terms sorry.

The body would have been made in a mould - then the handle is applied seperately, using molten glass.

The image on it is a door knocker - a lion's head holding the knocky bit.

Perhaps it might be a souvenir of an important building featuring such a door knocker??

It looks quite crude with an uneven rim and large bubbles. What country are you in? Can you feel the lion's head on the inside?

yeah you can feel the head inside, I'm in the USA...thanks for any help.

In that case it's mould blown. I would consider looking for a US maker because of where you are. Someone on here might be able to help http://www.chataboutdg.com/
