Hi Chris,

I had a polar bear which I think was just like yours -- and it even had a label.  It was Scandinavian, but I can't remember which glassworks. (Unfortunately, I neither have the bear, nor a picture).

But I did find this...  the bears are different than yours, but it could be of some help:  http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,24367.0.html

 :)

Hi Anik, thanks for taking a look, got a FM Ronneby signed one somewhere if memory serves me it's very similar  but with a yellow core, been trying to find it all weekend to compare but to no avail, remember the seller had this one marked as Lindshammar?

Chris, we've had a few polar bears on the board over the years and yours look familiar. Might be worth a board search for polar bear?

Had a look, but the same old story innit annoying when you click on the link and it's a TinyPic and it's disappeared? also a lot go to the gallery with nothing there?
I have a Picasa album when I delete anything I always make sure it's nothing on here.
Thanks Anne

Sadly folks do remove images from their own GlassGallery albums (they can't from the shared albums), and Tinypic loses 'em all by itself! The only sure way we have of keeping them visible is by adding them to the board directly.

Hi Chris...  Here is a picture of my polar bear from the Allegro Archives.  Unfortunately, the photograph is small.  The seller said it was 'Glands Hyttan' but I think the label said 'Olands Hyttan'.  http://archiwumallegro.pl/sliczny_bialy_nidzwiedz_polarny_figurka-968589675.html

Not that is makes much difference... my bear was not 'just like yours'  :spls:.

Wish I could be of more help.

Hi Chris,  could this be an Eneryda Swedish Polar Bear?  The angled shape of the legs suggest it to me......possibly worth persuing??
