I find the cameo effect interesting because it seems so "abrupt" that is it is extremely defined between colours rather than gradual - almost a series of steps. Most cameo seems to blend from on colour to the next or perhaps I should say the edges get thinner and thinner until the next colour dominates.  I rather wondered about Pilgrim Glass Cameo.  I have seen a couple of bits of it.  They seem to be monochrome (single colour) though.  The pieces I saw had a very defined edge like is apparent in your lamp base photograph.

By the way I meant to say first up - what a cracking piece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need help identify this cameo work,this lamps belong to my grate grandmother from SPAIN,they look very old but they are in perfect condition.my family have them since 1920. no mark or signature on them.thankyou.
