Hi all
Thank you so much for your kind words....I sure am one lucky young man!
I am lucky to have some great contacts out there who lookout for me these special pieces.
Am lucky to have some great rare pieces in my collection which are becomer harder to find...I catch myself just stood sometimes staring at my collection with a smile!
Next stop Haarlem or Petri!
By the way flying free the piece you describe is the Paradies comport in the photo which I also have!

Nigel I love that as well but the one I was thinking of has a frosted glass pelican sat in the middle of a bowl, like a lady would be if ykwim?
Off this topic, but could you do me a favour and look at the thread where I have listed a frosted glass bust please?  do you recognise it from anywhere at all?  Any help would be much appreciated if you have time.
many thanks
m

I'm sure you'll find the Haarlem or the Petri oneday.

Congrats re: Pierette clock.

I wonder when will be my turn to find rarer pieces of Walther for my collection? :(

Flying free....the pelican set you mention is the Pelikan centrepiece by Walther....another gorgeous set,I have in all colours.
I adore Walther glass they paid so much attention to detail.I wish I could find some more amber Walther pieces aswell as green pieces.
I would love an amber Arabella lamp!
I have taken a look at that bust on your thread and my first thought was a mascot aswell....I have emailed a good glass friend of mine to see if they can come up with anything.

Nigel thank you  :)
Could it really be a mascot then?  I haven't seen any that seem to have a hole in the head?  I mean I guess some nut would screw onto the rod that went through the body so the figure would then have a nut showing at the top of the head?  that doesn't seem quite right to me  :-\
Anyway, I will wait eagerly to hear of any more leads and thanks again.
