This mouse could well be a Malta Decorative Glass example designed by Vicente Boffo . I could be wrong but if anyone has one with a label or in brown/amber then that would be superb !

The hind legs have a similar style to the wings on a Whitefriars penguin. The eyes are a ball shape rather than indented . It's 3 3/4 inches in length. The colour is identical to the MDG whale . The whale does not have a label (the same as the mouse) but is a known MDG design and colour and was bought with two other MDG items (with labels) as a collection of three.

Any comments would be wonderful. Thanks for having a look.

P.S. I don't think the mouse was made by Vicente Boffo as it lacks a certain quality (as does the whale!).

I don't associate that blue with MDG, if they had been amber though... ;D

Whoops, I had forgotten about your whale as well as Sue's pale blue patterned MDG pieces. Naughty step for me. :D

LOL  ;)

Wasn't a  Whitefriar's owl copied at some point in time ? Or the other way around ?

But I admit Wayne's (ta Wayne !) mouse looks like the best match... so I must just suspect that that is what it is  :D  ::)

Cheers Mike

Hi All,

Link to a picture in Patrick's gallery on Whitefriars.com which shows three Boffo mice. I know he has discussed these and some of his other Boffo animals on the site but can't find the thread. I'm sure Patrick will read this and help with that very soon.

Thanks for the links Jimbo,

I have seen Patricks Whitefriars mice . My initial thoughts about this blue one was that it might be a simplified design for MDG a bit like the the MDG swan I found.

But I have to conclude that it must be a FM Konstglas version of a mouse !

The colour match with the whale is spot-on though , which is what got me thinking down the MDG line !

ta, Mike.

Great mice, I had not seen them before thanks Jimbo.

Just goes to show that trying to match colours is a somewhat tricky. ;D
